Cerberus sponsored a limerick competition. Below are my three entries. The one about Korrith won third prize (out of four).



A HYMN TO THE GODS
'Tis the gods who keep Valorn exciting,
for Cory inspires us while fighting,
and without Ben and Darren
our lives would be barren.
(Ignore the occasional smiting.)

AN UNPLEASANT SURPRISE FOR BALTHAZAR
Now Balthazar's greatly appalled:
for the Remnants who came from Kimald,
that he thought he had killed,
have raised up a Guild
and a stronghold both mighty and walled.

HOW TO TELL WHICH INN YOU ARE IN
If drunk or uncertain your tread,
just look for the cleric's bald head.
If Korrith you see,
then you're in Dundee;
if not, you're in Milltown instead.

On January 2, 2006, JKD and Shannara were bonded in the courtyard of the Remnants of Kimald guild house. The ceremony, performed by Sylent One, was beautiful and moving.
